A Day To Be Appreciative

by coachjon

I wanted to blog about how today has been a day that I am especially (even more than usual) thankful for.

Two cool things happened.

Firstly, my request for leave was approved by my Commanding Officer in my Army Reservist Unit. This means I can go for the level 4 PICP Coaching course held in Rhode Island in November this year. I am allowed to arrive a few days late for my annual reservist training. Great!

Secondly, I got a nice compliment from Coach Charles Poliquin on his blog about doing a good job as a gym owner/personal trainer. It’s kind of like a pianist hearing that Mozart thinks hes done a good job.

As an area for improvement, I was told that I am short of experience with really world class athletes (an accurate assessment!). They are, unfortunately in short supply in Singapore! But I will probably schedule some internships with some Olympic training centers somewhere to make up this lack of experience!

There is ALWAYS room for improvement.

Wow, congrats!!! That’s quite the compliment he gave you. Hope this spurs you on to even greater heights!

Well, if there aren’t any world class athletes here, make some! :D

Or…you can always start coaching the Singapore Table Tennis Team :)
