Know Your Supermarket
Ok time to go to the supermarket. Here are some tips that clients who are doing personal training in Singapore with me have found useful to help them shop fast, and make healthy smart food choices.In the other articles, I will be grading common foods with a “star rating”. 3 stars means “eat this every day, and lots of it”. No stars mean “this food is so bad that it’s almost criminal to feed your body or those of your loved ones with this”. For everything in between I’ll explain a bit why and when you should eat these. You would be surprised to know that there are actually surprisingly few zero star foods.
Shopping tips:- Go with a shopping list – so you won’t end up buying nonsense that you will have to eat later. A list really helps you stay focused and helps you avoid temptations.
- Try out one new healthy food each week
- Shop the edges of the super-market. That’s where the meat, fresh fruits, vegetables and diary items are located. The central isles are usually filled with no-nos.
- Buy in bulk to save cost, freeze what you don’t need at the moment
